Flower & Football Hat

This hat is perfect for that little sports fan in your life!

Materials used:
-Hobby Lobby's I Love This Yarn in white, mango, and light gray.
-Size H crochet hook
-Yarn needle
-Football button from JoAnn

First, start out with a simple double crochet hat pattern!  The hat pictured is a 9 month size.  There are millions of crochet hat patterns on Pinterest.  Here is a link I found when searching "double crochet hat pattern."

This flower is one of my new favorite flower patterns!  The stitch used to make the inside petals of the flower is the popcorn stitch.  This stitch was new to me but the pattern explains the stitch and even has pictures!  The pattern is a FREE pattern on Ravelry!  You can find it here

Happy Crocheting!

My First Post: Inspiring Crochet Bloggers

I am so excited about trying my hand in the blogging world!  When I started crocheting I depended on crochet bloggers! I looked up every single stitch! I mean, how else are you supposed to know what a fpdc is? I hope this blog will become a place that is inspiring to other crocheters!

Speaking of inspiring crochet bloggers- I have made a list of some of mine!

1. Repeat Crafter Me

The best part about her blog? FREE patterns! Tons of free patterns! I would love to try every pattern she has on her blog.  They are very easy to follow and so cute!  The preschool teacher part of me also loves that she blogs about the crafts she does with her own kids!  Her owl hat pattern inspired the creation of my owl hats:

2. Daisy Cottage Designs

Lauren from Daisy Cottage Designs also posts FREE patterns!  I love free patterns!  Her Etsy shop also features cool prints that she has designed!  When I was itching to create my first blanket I stumbled upon her granny square blanket pattern.  It turned out so cute!

3. Whistle & Ivy

I found this blog when a customer requested some crochet flip flops for her brand new granddaughter! She has some awesome FREE crochet shoe patterns for little ones!

4. The Stitchin' Mommy

I love this blog because she uses a lot of detailed pictures with her patterns which is great for a beginner crocheter!  I came across her sweet fox hat and it turned out PERFECT! This is one of my new favorite hats!

5. Moogly

I came across Moogly when searching for crochet letter patterns!  I used her letter pattern to personalize a sweet baby blanket!  She recently posted some crochet punctuation patterns that look fun! The baby blanket turned out great.  The letter was just what it needed!
